Lynx volleyball comes up short
The Webster City volleyball squad dropped a North Central Conference match to Algona on the road Thursday.
Scores were 25-13, 27-25 and 25-22 in favor of the Bulldogs (7-1 overall).
Tristyn Wright had six kills for Webster City, with Jaylyn Bahrenfuss adding five. Wright also tallied six assists.
Morgan Hackbarth finished with 10 digs, while Hailey Brim and Lovie Pruismann both contributed eight.
Ashley Nydegger and Hackbarth were perfect serving.
“We didn’t come out aggressive and strong enough in the first set,” WCHS head coach Jess Howard said. “We came back and fought hard from there, but we weren’t quite consistent enough to (rally back).”
The Lynx (6-4) return home on Tuesday to face Clear Lake (4-2) at 7 p.m.
