Lynx can’t stop Dodgers

The Webster City baseball team dropped a 13-2 decision to Fort Dodge here Tuesday evening.
Aiden Hrnicek drove in both of the runs for the Lynx, who struggled in the field and saw the Dodgers score in five of the seven innings.
Hrnicek and Matthew Tesdahl had the only hits for Webster City, as Brady Asklund, Braylon Dyvig, Gavin Griffith and Hrnicek each reached on a walk.
Along with his hit being a double, Hrnicek also stole two bases, as Asklund and Tesdahl each picked up one steal.
Griffith struck out three over two innings without allowing an earned run, Tesdahl went three with two strikeouts and Alex Staley picked up two strikeouts in an inning-plus.
For the Dodgers, Cael Adams got the start, going three innings with a strikeout and no hits allowed. Adams is the son of Webster City graduate and current FDSH softball head coach Andi Adams.
The Lynx now turn their attention to Friday night when they travel to face Waverly-Shell Rock in Class 3A, Substate 3 action. First-pitch is set for 7 p.m.
