Six different 11th graders honored from Webster City

The Webster City baseball team placed six juniors on the all-North Central Conference teams, the league announced recently.

Leading the way for the Lynx was Braylon Dyvig, as he was a first team unanimous selection.

Earning second team status were Aiden Hrnicek, Gavin Griffith and Carter Mickelson. Both Matthew Tesdahl and Brady Asklund made the third squad.

All six players will be seniors next year.

Webster City finished the 2025 campaign 12-17 overall, while going 8-6 in league play to place fourth.

In conference-only games, Dyvig was 3-3 on the mound over six starts, striking out 29 with a 1.91 earned run average. He also hit a team-leading .406 with eight RBI, 13 runs scored, two doubles and 16 walks.

Hrnicek sported a batting average of .318 with 11 RBI, two doubles and two triples in 14 games, scoring 14 runs with four steals.

Griffith hit .344 with an on-base percentage of .488, driving in six with three doubles and eight walks.

Mickelson had a .324 average with 13 runs scored, three doubles, a triple and seven RBI. He stole seven bases and struck out 14 on the mound with a 2.27 earned run average over six appearances.

Tesdahl recorded 15 hits with 11 runs scored and 12 RBI, which led the Lynx. He had a batting average of .341, adding seven steals.

Asklund had a team-leading nine steals in NCC games, hitting .364 with 10 RBI and 11 runs scored.
