The South Hamilton and Iowa Falls-Alden baseball communities came together to remember Owen Renaud and Jesse Ostheimer on Tuesday in Iowa Falls. Renaud — a former South Hamilton student athlete — and Ostheimer died in a plane crash last September. The IF-A program recognized the family and friends of Renaud — a nephew of Ostheimer who was from Alden — as well as both Jesse and J.R. Ostheimer. J.R. died in 1992. Jim Ostheimer, the father of Jesse and J.R. and grandpa of Owen, has been a long-time coach and contributor to the Cadet baseball program.
