Webster City clipped by PAC
POCAHONTAS — The Webster City baseball team finished off the week with a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to Pocahontas Area here last Friday night.
After taking a 2-1 lead with a pair of runs in the sixth, the Lynx saw the Indians escape, winning it in walk-off fashion with two runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Braylon Dyvig was 3-for-3 at the plate with a two-run homer to lead the way for Webster City. Gavin Griffith and Boston Farley each had hits while Kaleb Hansen drew two walks and Carter Mickelson one.
Mickelson scored the other run on the night.
Both Matthew Tesdahl and Aiden Hrnicek struck out three batters on the mound.
The Lynx returned to North Central Conference play against Humboldt in a doubleheader at home on Monday night.
