A planned North Central Conference doubleheader between the Webster City baseball team and Humboldt was halted early due to heavy rain.
In the opener, the Wildcats posted a 13-2 victory over the Lynx.
The second game is scheduled to be played on Wednesday in Humboldt as part of a junior varsity/varsity doubleheader.
Humboldt used a seven-run second to gain control of the contest, adding three runs in the fifth and three more in the seventh.
For Webster City, Matthew Tesdahl and Boston Farley each drove in a run. Farley went 2-for-3.
Along with the single game vs. the Wildcats, the Lynx are scheduled to play at Boone on Friday and in Saydel on Saturday at the Jim Gebhart Tournament.
