FONDA — The Webster City baseball team was in action here Saturday at the Newell-Fonda Tournament.

After falling to Council Bluffs St. Albert, 10-1, the game with the host Mustangs was called off due to weather after two innings.

Alex Staley had two hits and Matthew Tesdahl one vs. St. Albert. Jamey Stansfield scored the lone run after being driven in by Braylon Dyvig. Staley also stole a base.

Gordon Bargfrede had a hit vs. Newell-Fonda. Dyvig struck out one in two innings of work.

Webster City hosts Algona in North Central Conference play for a doubleheader on Monday beginning at 5 p.m.
