Lynx grab a pair of wins

The Webster City softball team started their first win streak of the season.
The Lynx (3-11 overall) knocked off Clarion-Goldfield-Dows 12-0 and beat Pocahontas Area 11-3.
Sophomore Jakaela Cherry threw a one-hitter, striking out nine batters and walking only one.
Morgan Tempel and Breanna Bahrenfuss had two hits each. Tempel had a double and a triple. Bahrenfuss had a double. Tempel drove in four runs, while Bahrenfuss had two RBI.
Cherry, Cloe Savitski, Lydia Van Deer and Alivia Burns all drove in runs.
The Lynx ripped four doubles in the win over the Indians. Morgan Hackbarth had two, while Cherry and Jaylyn Bahrenfuss had one.
Hackbarth had three hits and drove in six runs. Breanna Bahrenfuss, Jaylyn Bahrenfuss, Briley VanDeer, and Tempel had an RBI.
The Lynx are back in action on Monday when they travel to Clear Lake.
