IOWA FALLS — The Webster City baseball team split a North Central Conference doubleheader with Iowa Falls-Alden here Monday night.

Scores were 4-3 in favor of the Cadets with the Lynx securing an 18-8 victory in the nightcap.

Matthew Tesdahl drove in fove runs with two hits to lead the way in the win, as Gavin Griffith ahd three RBI and Gordon Bargfrede scored three times.

Aiden Hrnicek, Bargfrede and Carson Bertran all had two hits, as Kaleb Hansen scored three times. Braylon Dyvig, Carter Mickelson, Hrnicek and Bertran all scored twice.

Griffith picked up the win, striking out six over five-plus innings.

Griffith had two hits in the opener with an RBI while Hrnicek also drove in a run. Dyvig went all six innings, striking out five.

Webster City heads to the Newell-Fonda Tournament on Saturday.
