The Webster City girls golf team came up short here Tuesday in dual action, falling to Greene County, 214-231.

Maya Telleen of Greene County earned medalist honors, firing a round of 50. Teammate Alivia Cornell and Maggie Mikkelsen tied for second with 54s.

For the Lynx, Mylie Keller shot a 57 while Alleyna Dawson, Ellie Peterson and Kenley Koop all had 58s.

“We have to continue working on our short game,” WCHS head coach Jeff Lyons said. “We need to get better at chipping and putting.”

Sophie Dinsdale added a 59 and Haydin Sealine finished with a 65 for Webster City.

Next action for the Lynx will be on Thursday when they return to North Central Conference play vs. St. Edmond at the Webster City Links Golf Course.
