WC boys come up short vs. IF-A

IOWA FALLS — The Webster City boys tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Iowa Falls-Alden here Monday.

Hank Christeson pushed Brayden Moestchen at the No. 1 singles spot, losing, 7-5, 6-3. Zayden Card and Fabian Ferto-Holdgrafer both lost sets by scores of 7-5 during the match.

In doubles, Christeson and Nathan Wardell dropped a tough 7-5 set in the opener at No. 1 before falling in straight sets.

“It was good to see the boys battle in some points,” WCHS head coach Mark Fisher said. “Zayden had a good first set and Hank battled in both of his sets. It was also nice to see Fabian fight back in his second set.”

The Lynx return to action on Wednesday when they head to Fort Dodge for the North Central Conference Tournament.
