South Hamilton in action at Roland-Story

STORY CITY — The South Hamilton boys finished seventh here last Thursday night at the Roland-Story Relays.

Clear Lake was first followed by Denver, Nevada, the host Norsemen and Ballard rounding out the Top-5. The Hawks scored 53 points total to finish ahead of five schools in the 12-team field.

Kolby Hodnefield recorded a first in the 400-meter run, clocking a time of 49.54. The junior was also second in the 200 and ran on the winning sprint medley relay.

Hodnefield was joined by Braden Young, Tanner Twedt and Nick Severseike on the relay, as they went 1:33.86.

Young, Wyatt Gelder, Twedt and Severseike went 3:43.61 to place second in the distance medley relay.

Twedt was fourth in the 200 and Young fourth in the long jump.

Next action for the Hawks will be this Thursday when they head to State Center for the Heart of Iowa Conference meet.
