Lynx pack NCC squads

The Webster City boys soccer team dominated the North Central Conference once again this spring, capturing a league title with an unbeaten slate.
Five members of that team were recently named to the all-NCC first team led by unanimous choices Eddy Fuentes-Cruz, Israel Torres, Conner Peck and Francisco Ramirez-Carmona.
Joining those four on the honor roll were Abisai Ramirez-Carmona, as Henry Arriga made second and Wilmer Padilla-Chavez third.
Fuentes-Cruz, who made history by going over 100 career goals, finished the 10-game NCC schedule with 27 goals, which led all players. He added 10 assists, giving him 64 points.
Torres, a sophomore, was second in the conference with 14 goals, adding eight assists. Peck, a senior, had 15 assists, which led all NCC players, to go along with five goals.
For the Webster City girls, Janey Putney, Jayme Perez and Ashlee Nydegger all made the second team while Lovie Pruismann was placed on the third.
Putney, a junior, ranked seventh in the league with seven goals in 12 matches while Perez tallied three goals and two assists.
