IOWA FALLS — The Webster City girls golf team gained some momentum for the upcoming North Central Conference meet here Tuesday.

The Lynx fired their low round of the year, shooting 219 to finish behind Algona and Iowa Falls-Alden at Meadow Hills Golf Course.

Alleyna Dawson paced Webster City with a 50 followed by a 55 from Kenley Koop. Hayden McCoy and Carli Jessen both shot 57s with Ellie Peterson adding a 59 and Haydin Sealin a 61.

“I feel like we’re getting better,” WCHS head coach Jeff Lyons said. “That’s our lowest score of the season, so it’s a good time to post that.”

The NCC meet will take place at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge on Monday.
