Lynx compete in NCC girls golf meet

FORT DODGE — The Webster City girls golf squad finished fifth overall here Monday at the North Central Conference meet.
Clear Lake scored top team and individual honors. Algona was second, followed by Clarion-Goldfield/Dows and Humboldt.
Elle Ebeling of Clear Lake fired the low round, earning medalist with an 86.
For the Lynx, Mylie Keller tied for 17th place, individually carding a 109. Alleyna Dawson tied for 21st with Ellie Peterson and Kenley Koop both tying for 25th.
Haydin Sealine was 27th and Hayden McCoy 28th.
“I was really pleased with the effort of the girls,” WCHS head coach Jeff Lyons said. “We were seventh in the regular season NCC standings, so we moved up two spots. That was a positive for the team.”
Webster City is at the Fort Dodge Invitational on Friday at the Fort Dodge Country Club.
