Webster City boys drop season opener
The Webster City boys basketball team dropped a 59-37 home decision to Aplington-Parkersburg on Friday in their season opener.
Cole Miller led the Lynx with 11 points. He hit three triples.
Webster City’s Carter Mickelson added eight points, while Matthew Tesdahl contributed six.
Jaxon Griffith grabbed 10 rebounds with four assists. Miller tallied four rebounds.
In the second half, Webster City played the Falcons to a three-point margin.
Benny Waller led the Falcons with 14 points and Caleb Campbell added 13 points.
Mason Ridder had seven points and pulled down eight rebounds for A-P.
The Lynx are back in action on Tuesday when they host South Central Calhoun.
