The Webster City volleyball team remains in control of their North Central Conference title pursuit.

On Monday night, the Lynx (10-8 overall, 5-0 in the NCC) stayed unbeaten in the league with a sweep of Iowa Falls-Alden.

Webster City won 25-12, 25-22 and 25-19.

“The girls did a nice job of playing consistently and setting the tone,” said WCHS head coach Jesse Howard. “We had control the entire time (set two) and when it got close, we were keeping our composure.

“After the first set, we were going well and continued with the gameplan. We didn’t let anything else dictate what we did.”

Olivia Gallentine was 19-for-23 attacking with 14 kills, while Marissa Hedeen was 21 of 24 with 13 kills. Tristyn Wright added four kills and Avery Poppen tallied three.

Cloe Savitski recorded 13 digs and Morgan Hackbarth contributed 11. Gallentine and Wright had 18 and 14 assists, respectively.

From the service line, Savitski was 15-for-16 with three aces. Gallentine was 9 of 11. Wright was 15-for-16, Hackbarth was 10 of 12 and Brim was 10-for-11.

The Lynx are back in action on Saturday in Madrid.
