Hawks lose tight contest to BCLUW
JEWELL — The South Hamilton baseball team nearly kept their season alive, but couldn’t catch BCLUW in the end.
The Hawks (10-11 overall) fell to the Comets (8-12), 2-1 in a Class 1A Substate 3 first round game.
BCLUW scored a run in the second and third inning and kept the Hawks at bay for six innings.
Ryland Ubben scored the lone run for South Hamilton. Ubben also had two hits on the night.
Prestin Van De Pol, Owen Duns, and Landon Sogard had one hit each.
For the Comets Cael Keller had two hits. Aiden Frank drove in a run and Calvin Zoske had a double.
