Webster City earns big win vs. Humboldt

A three-run sixth helped the Webster City baseball team secure a 6-5 victory over Humboldt here last Friday night.

Senior Keegan Hisler rocked a three-RBI double in the sixth and sophomore Braylon Dyvig retired the Wildcats in the seventh to secure the win for the Lynx (12-9 overall, 7-4 in North Central Conference).

Dyvig tossed the final six innings, allowing just two hits with two strikeouts and one walk.

Hisler finished 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, a run scored and a stolen base. Dyvig was 2-for-2 with an RBI and both Josh Griep and Aiden Hrnicek had a hit.

Jaxon Griffith scored two runs with Hisler, Trevyn Lyons, Griep and Boston Farley each crossing home once.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Lynx vs. Humboldt. Webster City is now tied with the Wildcats for second in the conference as they head to Clear Lake Monday night for a 7:30 p.m. first pitch.
