JEWELL — For South Hamilton runners Ty Koehnk, Reece Ricke, Nick Severseike and Kolby Hodnefield, the recent state track championships were not their final time to compete together.

The quartet was selected to run at the annual New Balance Nationals Outdoor meet. The event will be held this Sunday on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

Koehnk, Ricke, Severseike and Hodnefield will compete in the 4×400-meter relay, which is scheduled for Sunday. The entire meet will be streamed live on the New Balance YouTube page.

South Hamilton finished first in Class 2A in the 4×400 (3:16.35) and placed second at the Drake Relays in the event earlier this year. They were also first in the 4×200 at state with the same quartet at 1:28.02.

Entries for the national meet are limited to those that hit the automatic qualifier mark. The standard for the 4×400 was set at 3:21.00.

All athletes receive a backpack featuring the event logo on it from New Balance.
