South Hamilton uses late heroics to topple Nevada

JEWELL — The South Hamilton baseball team picked up another win on Thursday with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Nevada.

Tied at 2-2 in the sixth, the Hawks (7-10 overall) scored the winning run to secure the win.

Owen Duns, Andrew Jensen and Rylan Ubben each had two hits, as Jensen, Ubben and Connor Deppe all drove in a run. Ubben had the lone extra-base hit with a double.

Duns, Braden Young and Ubben each scored a run as Landon Sogard went five-plus with five strikeouts, four hits allowed and no earned runs surrendered.

South Hamiton heads to Monroe-PCM Monday night before returning home to face Roland-Story on Tuesday. First pitch in both games is set for 7 p.m.
