The South Hamilton baseball team closed out May with a pair of losses last week.

After falling to South Hardin last Thursday at home, 15-14, the Hawks were bested on the road at Nevada, 6-2, last Friday.

Landon Sogard had a home run and drove in five vs. South Hardin, scoring twice. Tjerdan Johnson, Owen Duns and Andrew Jensen each had two RBI with Prestin Van De Pol, Johnson, Duns and Ty Koehnk all scoring two runs each.

Johnson and Ryland Ubben both recorded two hits and Landon Greufe worked two walks along with a base hit.

Johnson had eight strikeouts in four innings on the mound.

South Hamilton welcomes in Monroe-PCM Monday night to Mike Penning Athletic Complex Baseball Field. First pitch is set for 7:30 p.m. on the varsity side.
