South Hamilton extends baseball win streak

PRAIRIE CITY — The South Hamilton baseball team spoiled Senior Night for Monroe-PCM here Monday, scoring an 8-2 victory.

After plating two quick runs in the first, the Hawks added four more in the fourth and a pair of insurance runs in the fifth.

That was more than enough for Landon Sogard, as the junior struck out eight over seven innings while allowing just five hits and two walks.

Owen Duns drove in two runs with a double, Prestin Van De Pol and Tjerdan Johnson each scored twice, and Landon Greufe had two hits with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Ty Koehnk stole two bases for South Hamilton.

The Hawks (8-10 overall) have won three straight and are 6-3 over their last nine games.
