Pocahontas Area fights past Lynx in softball
POCAHONTAS — The Webster City softball team dropped a tough 12-9 decision to Pocahontas Area here last Friday night.
After taking a 5-1 lead, the Lynx (10-5 overall) allowed five runs in the second and five more in the fourth.
Adeline Tesdahl had three hits, including a home run. She scored three runs and also added a triple and a double.
Bonnie Nohrenberg and Ava Peterson each had two hits, and Peterson drove in a pair.
Jakaela Cherry had two RBI. Delainey Bargfrede scored twice while also striking out four in a relief.
The Lynx will take on co-North Central Conference leader and fifth-ranked (Class 1A) St. Edmond Monday night at Rogers Park in Fort Dodge.
