Webster City senior Bargfrede fires first high school perfect game

Delainey Bargfrede accomplished something for the first time in her career here Wednesday night.

The Webster City senior recorded a perfect game in a 12-0 victory for the Lynx over Clarion-Goldfield/Dows.

Bargfrede, who is headed to Western Kentucky University in the fall, had eight strikeouts on the night in four innings of work. She now has 646 strikeouts in her career.

Webster City pounded out seven hits and took advantage of six walked batters at the plate, improving to 35-0 vs. the Cowgirls since the 2007 season.

The Lynx host Humboldt Friday night.
