Lynx drop a pair of rated tilts
The 14th-ranked (Class 4A) Webster City softball team dropped a pair of rated matchups last week along with securing a North Central Conference win.
The Lynx topped Iowa Falls-Alden and fell to No. 5 (4A) Carlisle and 15th-ranked (3A) West Marshall.
In a 5-3 win over the Cadets, Delainey Bargfrede recorded another double-digit strikeout game, recording 11 with just one walk and one earned run allowed.
Cloe Savitski connected on a solo home run as Bonnie Nohrenberg and Bargfrede each added an RBI. Adeline Tesdahl had two hits and scored once while Alivia Burns stole a pair of bases.
Webster City fell to Carlisle, 13-2, and West Marshall, 8-4. They return to the diamond on Monday when they host Hampton-Dumont/CAL.
