Lynx can’t stop Wildcats

HUMBOLDT — The Webster City baseball team couldn’t get anything going against North Central Conference rival Humboldt on Monday night.

The Wildcats (7-2 overall) had a big third inning with six runs, cruising to a 10-0 victory.

Webster City (5-5) had three hits on the night.

Humboldt had 13 hits. Isaiah Busick was 3-for-3 and earned the win. Busick went the distance, fanning seven batters and walking only one.

Mason Van Pelt, Riley Sorensen, Chase Hansen and Corey Dettmann had two hits each.

Sorensen drove in four runs, while Evan Hatcher had three RBI and Coen Matson had two.
