Hawks pick up two wins in softball tourney

The South Hamilton softball team picked up two victories in the Dave Lee tournament hosted by BCLUW.

On Friday the Hawks (7-8) beat AGWSR 9-8 and BCLUW 9-8. They lost to No. 6 Sumner-Fredericksburg (17-2) 8-0.

On Thursday the Hawks fell to Saydel 5-3.

Against AGWSR, Emma Lammers had two hits and drove in a run. Kendra Hoversten had a double and drove in three runs. Sydnee Flaugh had two RBI. Lillie Ammerman also drove in a run.

Jillian Hesse picked up the win, striking out four batters.

In the win over BCLUW Flaugh was 3-for-4. Ashlyn Erickson had three hits and drove in three runs. Makena Galetich had a double and drove in three runs. Lammers and Hesse had an RBI.

Galetich earned the win with four strikeouts.

In the loss to Saydel Flaugh and Lammers drove in runs.

The South Hamilton (3-7) baseball team earned an 8-7 win over Saydel (10-4) on Friday.

Saydel built a 6-2 victory heading into the sixth, when South Hamilton plated six in the sixth to take the lead.
