Keegan Hisler struck out 13 batters as the Webster City baseball team downed Clarion-Goldfield/Dows here Wednesday night, 4-1.

The Lynx provided Hisler with a pair of runs in the opening inning as Jaxon Griffith had two hits and stole a pair of bases.

Matthew Tesdahl, Trevyn Lyons, Briar Klaver and Aiden Hrnicek each drove in a run. Tesdahl also stole a base and was hit by a pitch to reach.

Hisler allowed just two hits and walked two over seven innings of work, throwing 69 of his 112 pitches for strikes.

Webster City returns to action Friday when they host Humboldt.
