FORT DODGE — Briar Klaver had three hits and scored three runs, Josh Griep drove in two and Braylon Dyvig limited St. Edmond to just five hits in an 11-0 victory for the Webster City baseball team here Monday night at Rogers Park.

The Lynx put an end to the contest in the sixth with a pair of runs after an eight-run fifth broke open a 1-0 game.

Aiden Hrnicek had a triple and worked two walks with an RBI, Griep also scored twice and Jaxon Griffith added a hit, a run and an RBI. Klaver added a double with an RBI.

Webster City posted a 20-5 victory at home over the Gaels earlier this year and have now won each of the last 12 meetings between the two.

Dyvig went the distance, striking out five while allowing just the five hits and three walks over six innings.

On Tuesday night, the Lynx suffered a 5-4 loss in Urbandale to Des Moines Christian when Brady Andrews drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Andrews also earned the win, striking out 10.

The Lions rallied in the sixth, scoring three runs to tie it after Webster City plated three in the fifth to gain the lead.

Matthew Tesdahl drove in two runs and scored once, Griffith had two runs scored and both Klaver and Josh Stansfield had an RBI. Hrnicek recorded a double with Griep and Griffith both stealing a base.

Griep suffered the loss on the mound, allowing just four hits and two earned runs with three strikeouts.
