JEWELL — The South Hamilton softball team received home runs from Emma Lammers and Makena Galetich in an 11-4 victory over Perry here Wednesday night.
Lammers had a three-run shot in the fourth to boost the lead from one run to five for the Hawks (8-9 overall), who had lost to the Jayettes (5-8) earlier in the season by a final of 6-1 on the road. She finished 3-for-4 with a double and a triple, driving in four.
Galetich had her second homer of the season in the sixth, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. She also earned the win inside the circle, striking out three over seven innings.
South Hamilton heads to the Kiwanis Tournament hosted by Roland-Story on Friday and Saturday. They are set to meet the host Cadets at 9 a.m. and No. 5 (Class 3A) Estherville-LC at 1:30 p.m.
Both of those games will take place in Roland from Hennessy Diamonds.
