Webster City girls 5th at the NCC golf meet
BOONE — The Webster City girls golf team placed fifth here Monday at the North Central Conference meet, as three finished within the Top-20.
Clear Lake took home top honors with Algona right behind.
Kenley Koop placed 16th overall with a round of 110, while Claryssa Hanson was 18th and Kennedy Halling finished 20th.
Claire Bailey was 26th, Ava Peterson 31st and Alleyna Dawson 37th for the Lynx.
Koop had a pair of pars on her back nine to score a 53, knocking four strokes off her first nine score. Hanson had the low nine-hole total of the day for Webster City with a 51 on the back.
Clear Lake edged Algona for the team title. Lion standout Meghan DeLong was the individual champion.
The Lynx return to action Friday at the Fort Dodge Invitational, which is at the Fort Dodge Country Club beginning at 10 a.m.
