Lynx girls play in FD Invitational

FORT DODGE — The Webster City girls golf team concluded their regular season by competing in the Fort Dodge Invitational.

The Lynx finished ninth with a 458 as Waukee Northwest won team gold followed by Ames and Newton.

Kennedy Halling had the low round, carding a 107 to finish 30th overall. Ava Peterson was right behind with a 111 to place 35th and Kenley Koop finished 39th with a 117.

Halling also had the low nine with a 52 on the back that included six bogeys.

Claryssa Hanson (123), Alleyna Dawson (124) and Ellie Peterson (129) rounded out the scoring for Webster City.

The Lynx will host a Class 3A regional meet on Wednesday at Briggs Woods Golf Course with Algona, Ballard, Clear Lake, Hampton-Dumont/CAL, Humboldt, Le Mars, MOC-Floyd Valley, Sioux Center, Spencer, Storm Lake and Waverly-Shell Rock.
