BALLARD — The Webster City boys tennis team saw their season come to an end vs. Ballard this past Saturday at substate, 5-0.

“Just a bit overmatched,” WCHS head coach Mark Fisher said. “The difference between an established program and guys that have been playing tennis for a long time, and a young group that’s just starting to learn to play tennis.

“Give our guys a lot of credit though, as they fought hard. This group has been in a tough spot all season, but they have done a great job with the situation.”
