Hamilton County Speedway hopes weather cooperates this week

After weather again scrapped action at Hamilton County Speedway, the track will give it a go once more this Saturday.

All regular cars are slated for racing at the semi-banked oval dirt track with the Renegade High Roller Series Winged Sprints and 410 Non-Wing Sprints joining the fold.

Grandstands open at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 6:40 p.m.

The last races took place April 13 with Lucas Schott, Bill Crimmins, Ty Griffith, Chris Hovden, Oliver Monson and Derrick Stewart winning features.

Current weather conditions for Saturday are expected to be dry, with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the 40s. No rain is in the predicted forecast after Thursday.

Next Saturday, May 18 will be Saltue to the Troops Night where all active and retired military receive free grandstand admission. The 14th annual USMTS Spring Classic is set for Wednesday, May 22 with $3,000 going to the winner of the Summit USMTS Modifieds.
