Carlson earns Top-10 finish for Hawk girls
JEWELL — Rebekah Carlson earned a Top-10 finish here at the South Hamilton Invitational, leading the Hawks.
Carlson fired an 18-hole score of 89, placing eighth overall.
Abby Adamski was 11th with a 93 while both Macy Conklin and Hailey Johnson had rounds of 115. Arynn Luppes added a 124 and Abby Richardson a 136.
“The girls did a nice job of adjusting to the course on their second rounds,” South Hamilton head coach Kathi Fisher said. “Some of the girls improved by 5-to-7 strokes. Abby Adamski and Hailey Johnson scored their season nine hole scores.
“This was our final meet before regionals next Friday. We are excited to be hosting the first round of regional play.”
Makenna Carlson of Roland-Story and Brinley Carlson both fired 79s for the low scores of the meet.
South Hamilton will host a Class 1A, Region 2 meet on Friday. Joining the Hawks will be BCLUW, Earlham, Glidden-Ralston, Madrid, Newell-Fonda, Panorama and South Central Calhoun.
