Carlson, Adamski advance for South Hamilton

JEWELL — Rebekah Carlson and Abby Adamski took full advantage of playing at their home course.

The South Hamilton duo advanced to the regionals by placing in the Top-6 at a Class 1A, Region 2A meet held at Jewell Golf and Country.

Overall, the Hawks just missed out on advancing as a team, placing third by two strokes to Newell-Fonda. BCLUW won the team title with a 384 as Newell-Fonda fired a 420 and South Hamilton a 422.

Carlson finished fourth overall with a 93 while Adamski was right behind her with a 99 to tie with Elizabeth Lloyd from Glidden-Ralston.

Both Carlson and Adamski move on to the Region 2 final in Anita at the Crestwood Hills Golf Course on Wednesday.

The 1A state meet is set for Marshalltown and the American Legion on Thursday May 23-Friday, May 24.
