Webster City boys in action at Spencer

SPENCER — The Webster City boys golf team placed third at the Spencer Invitational, finishing just four strokes behind champion Carroll Kuemper.

The Lynx carded a 315. The Knights were at 311, followed by Humboldt (314).

Braden Doering and Braylon Plain both carded 75s to pace Webster City. They tied for third in the final individual standings.

Trevyn Lyons (82) and Cael Nixon (83) had the other counting scores for the Lynx. Dawson Bertran shot an 85 and Luke Firsching an 87.

Emmetsburg’s Josh Matheason (73) was meet medalist.

Webster City returns to action on Thursday, weather permitting, against Humboldt and Clear Lake in a home North Central Conference quadrangular.
