Lynx compete in NCC girls golf triangular

The Webster City girls golf team finished third in a North Central Conference triangular with Hampton-Dumont/CAL and Clarion-Goldfield/Dows.

The Bulldogs fired a 201 to hold off both the Cowgirls (219) and Lynx (224).

Sawyer Morrical of C-G/D was the medalist with a round of 49 as Webster City’s Kennedy Halling earned runner-up honors behind her 53. Halling’s teammate, Claryssa Hanson, was third with a 55.

Claire Bailey and Kenley Koop both had rounds of 58 with Alleyna Dawson adding a 59 and Ava Peterson a 61. Ellie Peterson fired a 62 and Sophia Dinsdale a 65.

Webster City heads to The Hills Golf Course on Tuesday to face Greene County. They finish out the week Thursday at River Road Golf Club vs. Algona and Iowa Falls-Alden before visiting Lakeside Golf Course to meet St. Edmond on Friday.
