Lynx girls run at Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE — The Webster City girls took part in the North Iowa Indoor Championships here last Thursday night, placing ninth overall.

Clear Lake was crowned team champions followed by Forest City and Algona.

The Lynx had three Top-10 finishes in the shot put, led by a fifth from Amanda Lahr. Lahr had a best of 32-11 with Jakaela Cherry finishing sixth and Adysen Poppen ninth.

Cherry recorded a toss of 32-10.5 and Poppen had a throw of 31-10.

Chloe Savitski was fifth in the 60 in 8.41 and Izzy Grossoehme placed 10th in the 1,500 in 6:03.10.

In relay events, the shuttle hurdle of Lynne Roberts, Bonnie Nohrenberg, Tateelina Vankham and Kate Feltz placed sixth in a time of 46.54.

The 4×400 and 4×800 were both seventh overall, as Grossoehme, Rosemary Chamness and Lydia VanDeer ran on both. Arianna Reed was the fourth on the 4×400 (4:47.88) and Sydney Oswald the anchor on the 4×800 (12:16.85).

Oswald was 14th in the 3,000, Kaitlyn Winkler was 15th in the long jump, Vankham was 17th and Lexi Scism 18th, with Reed placing 18th in the 400.

Webster City is off until Tuesday, April 2 when they head to Gowrie for the Richard Ryan Relays.
