JEWELL — The Roland-Story girls secured a tough 41-28 victory over South Hamilton here Tuesday night.
Ashlyn Erickson scored a game-high 18 to lead the Hawks, who suffered their third straight loss to the Norsemen. She had 12 of those in the first half.
Earlier this year, Roland-Story (20-1 overall, 14-0 in Heart of Iowa Conference) picked up a 72-36 victory. They built a 23-17 lead at the half behind six points each from Kam Lande and Matilde Motta.
The Norsemen held South Hamilton (13-7, 10-4) to just four points in the third.
Up next for the Hawks will be postseason play as they host East Marshall next Tuesday in a Class 2A, Region 8 quarterfinal.
