Webster City seniors Briar Klaver and Jace Larson finished out their high school basketball careers with all-North Central Conference honors.

Klaver was selected to the second team and Larson landed on the third squad for the Lynx, who won seven games this past winter.

A 6-foot-4 combo forward/guard, Klaver led the team at 14.6 points per game, adding six rebounds, 2.5 assists and a steal a night. He shot 40 percent from deep, making 111 triples.

Larson, a 6-foot-5 forward, shot over 74 percent from the field, averaging nine points and eight rebounds a night. He also added 46 blocks and 14 steals.

“It was great to see Briar and Jace get recognized with all-conference honors,” WCHS head coach Brett Ratcliff said. “They both had very good seasons on the court but are also all-conference kids off the court. I know they will go on to do great things with whatever their future holds.

“They are two guys that are going to be hard to replace because they contributed with their play on the court and also represented our program in the right way.”

Clear Lake went unbeaten in conference play to claim the regular season title, as Humboldt finished second. Algona and Hampton-Dumont/CAL tied for third followed by Webster City, St. Edmond, Iowa Falls-Alden and Clarion-Goldfield/Dows.
