A tough fourth quarter kept the Webster City girls from topping Newton Monday, as the Lynx dropped a 55-39 non-conference decision.

Leading by six entering the final eight minutes, Newton would go on a 20-8 run to put the game away.

Olivia Gallentine scored a team-high 11 points for Webster City with Addyson Beaulieu, Izzy Grossoehme and Joleah Stuhr each adding six points.

Marissa Hedeen had 11 rebounds, Stuhr grabbed six and Ady Poppen had four.

Hedeen, Poppen and Stuhr each made a three-point basket.

Webster City was at Iowa Falls-Alden on Tuesday before returning home Thursday for Senior Night vs. Perry. Stuhr, Beaulieu and Caitlyn Gapp are the only seniors on the Lynx roster.
