Webster City girls can’t slow Humboldt
HUMBOLDT — The Webster City girls put together three solid quarters here Friday night vs. Humboldt, but a 19-point hole after the first was too much to overcome, falling 77-55.
Marissa Hedeen scored 13 points with Alivia Burns adding 12 and Tristyn Wright eight to lead the Lynx.
Hedeen and Burns each knocked down three 3-pointers, with Wright adding two.
Olivia Gallentine had seven points and 11 rebounds, Ady Poppen added six and five, and Addyson Beaulieu, Gallentine and Caitlyn Gapp each made a 3-pointer.
Humboldt (8-3) was paced by Morgan Mann, who scored 31 points a night after surpassing 1,000 for her career. Ava Fischer added 19 and Paige Nelson 11.
Webster City hosts Southeast Valley on Tuesday.
