Lynx compete at Bell Eagle Grove Invite
EAGLE GROVE — With the North Central Conference meet on the horizon, the Webster City cross country team took to action here Tuesday at the Dick Bell Invitational.
Justin Callahan was the top finisher, placing fifth overall as the Lynx were eighth in the boys team standings. Gavin Grunhovd of North Iowa won the meet as Garner-Hayfield/Ventura was crowned team champions.
“This was a fantastic bounce back meet for us after not running our best at Pine Lake this past weekend,” WCHS head coach Derek Turner said. “With a few runners beat up, we will look to get healthy for the NCC meet next Tuesday.”
Callahan had a time of 18:21 with teammate Jack Barner placing 17th in 19:31. Owen Patterson was 63rd overall followed by Kyzer Zinnel (66th), Kaden Peterson (70th), Leland Eggers (90th) and Landon Crawford (107th).
