Webster City comes up short vs. Iowa Falls-Alden

IOWA FALLS — The Webster City volleyball team was unable to keep their winning ways going here Tuesday night, falling to Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action.

Scores were 16-25, 25-15, 16-25, 25-13 and 15-8.

“When we had our switch on, we were rolling on offense,” WCHS head coach Jess Howard said. “The games that got away from us, we let ourselves play a different tempo.

“We have to stay consistent and come out and play our game to be successful.”

Olivia Gallentine had 13 kills with two blocks to lead Webster City while Adeline Tesdahl added seven kills with 12 digs. Delainey Bargfrede contributed five kills, 13 digs, two blocks and 22 assists.

Cloe Savitski added 16 digs, Ellie Weinschenk had 12 digs, Adysen Poppen had four kills and three blocks, and both Marissa Hedeen and Addilyn Orton had two blocks.

Iowa Falls-Alden has won two straight and eight of the last 10 matchups with the Lynx.

Next action for Webster City will be Thursday, Sept. 14, in another NCC match at Algona.
