Homecoming for Hawks

JEWELL — South Hamilton entertains Woodward-Granger for Homecoming on Friday night.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Hawks (3-1 overall) got back into the win column with a 58-0 victory over Belmond-Klemme last week. After opening the season with wins over Roland-Story and South Hardin, South Hamilton fell to West Marshall in Week 3.

Landen Skartvedt made his return to the field, as the senior ran for 95 yards and a TD on just eight carries. Nick Severseikie, a sophomore, leads the Hawks with 298 yards on the ground, while quarterback Tjerdan Johnson has 137 yards passing and 124 yards rushing.

Woodward-Granger (2-2) topped Eagle Grove last Friday, 50-6. They started the year with a win over Madrid, 20-8, before coming up short vs. ACGC and Interstate 35.

Senior Carter Moran has 760 yards passing and six touchdowns, while adding 238 yards rushing and four TDs. Dylan McCaulley leads the team with 362 yards rushing and Dane Polich is the top receiver with 19 receptions for 275 yards and two scores.

Last year, Woodward-Granger won for the first time in their most recent seven meetings, 34-30.
