After dropping their first game of the season, Webster City went back to the ground and rushed for 428 yards in a 54-0 win over Boone.

Now the looks will look for their second straight victory as they travel to face third-ranked Waverly-Shell Rock (2-0).

Jaxon Cherry carried the ball 20 times for 218 yards and four touchdowns. Cherry’s long score of the night was a 73-yard jaunt.

CJ Hisler, Cael Nixon and Luke Estlund also had rushing touchdowns. Keegan Hisler caught a touchdown pass from Ty McKinney.

Waverly-Shell Rock beat the Lynx last year 31-14. The two teams have split games in their last six meetings.

The Go-Hawks are coming off a 35-0 shutout of Crestwood. Against the Cadets Cole Marsh threw for three touchdowns and rushed for one. Hagarty McCrae had 122 yards on the ground and one touchdown.

On the season McCrae has 261 yards on 30 totes and two scores. Asa Newsom has 185 yards and three touchdowns. Marsh has run for three scores.
