Miranda Deppe put together back-to-back solid rounds, top-10 rounds actually, to lead the South Hamilton girls’ golf team at 18-hole tournaments on Thursday and Friday.

Deppe fired a 96 to finish sixth at the PCM Invite on Thursday and then 24 hours later posted a 90 to sit fourth on the leaderboard at the Norsemen Invite.

“(Deppe’s) short game has really given her overall game confidence,” South Hamilton head coach Kathi Fisher said. “Two days of 18-hole tournaments can be overwhelming, but the girls handled it very well.”

The Hawks shot a 451 to place fourth at the PCM Invite and improved by eight shots for a 443 and third-place result at River Bend Golf Course.

Gilbert won both tournaments with a 358 on Thursday and 363 on Friday. The Tigers’ Eden Lohrbach was the low girl on both layouts, as she carded an 82 at the PCM Invite and 75 at the Norsemen Invite.

Grace Young followed Deppe on both days for South Hamilton with rounds of 104 and 108, respectively.
