Casady, Barber top leaderboard in Lynx win over Rams
WEBSTER CITY — Katie Casady’s consistent presence at the top of the leaderboard was key, as was Stevie Barber’s best round of the season, in leading the Webster City girls’ golf team to a dual-meet win at The Links on Tuesday.
Casady scored her second straight medalist honor and Barber was the runner-up, as WCHS fired a 209 to easily top Greene County (245) by 36 strokes.
“The girls continue to improve and post consistent scores by committing to a practice schedule which consists of two to three hours a day and playing on the weekends,” WCHS coach Billy Bertran said.
Casady carded a 49, as she was the only player in the field to break 50. Barber was just two shots back with a 51 and Alley Odland turned in her best round of the season with a 52. Ella Dinsdale wrapped up the win with a 57.
Alex Miller (52) and Brianna Habben (57) posted Greene County’s low scores.
